Sharing Letter-Nn

Phonics- We will continue with our reading groups this week. Reading groups occur about every other week. Starting this week, your child will have reading homework every Tuesday and Thursday! A detailed flyer will be sent home. Please return the book every day unless it has a sticker on it. If the book has a sticker on the cover, the book may stay at home.

Handwriting- We will continue joining letters together and we will start learning our capital cursive alphabet! The handwriting load is becoming heavy. I will not send home homework, but if your child is unable to finish their work in class, their work will be sent home in order for them to complete it. Look for the please finish and return stamp.

Math- We are finishing up chapter 5 and will begin chapter 6 this week. We are continuing to tell time on both digital and analog clocks and we will begin to learn sorting by lengths (shorter, longer). Not many math pages will be sent home. We will be using many manipulatives to learn new concepts and I will assess their knowledge based on their use of manipulatives.

Science- Seasons and Seeds
